Strangers on a Train is a 1951 American film by the studio Warner Bros. It was produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film stars Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, Robert Walker, Leo G. Carroll, Patricia Hitchcock, and Laura Elliott.
The film was based on the 1950 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith, who also wrote The Talented Mr. Ripley.
